Come along and listen to a musical storytime with a twist at the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum and Garden on Aug. 18.
The special musical event offers children an opportunity to listen to music-themed stories in the garden and make a simple flute to take home. See if you can play “Yankee Doodle,” and then go on a hunt to see if you can find the flute in the Ladies Parlor. Be sure to leave time for playing with 19th-century toys.
Musical storytime, Aug. 18 at 10:30 am. Children under 6 are free, and free for children with one $8 paid admission of caregiver.
