World Maker Faire returns to New York Hall of Science

Get on your inventor and science cap for the annual World Maker Faire at the New York Hall of Science on Sept. 22 and 23.

This event is the East Coast’s biggest celebration of invention, creativity, and curiosity. New features this year include a cosplay contest, exhibits on gaming and mixed reality, Adrian Landon’s steel kinetic sculptures, YouTube phenom Backyard Scientist (Kevin Kohler), and much more.

World Maker Faire, Sept. 22 and 23, 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets range from $25 to $40, and weekend passes are available. Reservations not required.

Young Actors at Strasberg

Young Actors at Strasberg&nbsp;offers a comprehensive array of acting programs for students in grades 2 &ndash;&nbsp;12. Classes provide kids and teens with a foundation in Lee Strasberg's Method Acting and the tools to succeed in the professional industry &ndash;&nbsp;all while maintaining a fun and playful environment. Programs are tailored to encompass students at all levels, from those just beginning their acting journey to Broadway veterans and professional child actors. Young Actors at Strasberg alumni include Lady Gaga, Sophia Lillis, Angelina Jolie, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Rosario Dawson! Young Actors&nbsp;Programs are available online and in-person at our New York Campus, located in Union Square. Saturday, After-School and Online classes are offered during the traditional school year (Fall, Winter, and Spring) and Monday through Friday day camps and intensives are held in&nbsp;July and August. About The Lee Strasberg Theatre &amp; Film Institute: Founded in 1969 by Lee and Anna Strasberg, The Lee Strasberg Theatre &amp; Film Institute is the only school that teaches Lee Strasberg's work in its complete and authentic form. Studio E Art Classes

Art, drawing, illustration, painting, and pottery.&nbsp; Studio E Art Classes for ages 2 &frac12; to adult offers a creative space to find joy and rest in the creative arts. 7-week sessions are available for all classes, or just drop into a class to give it a try. Studio E Art is a great place to schedule a birthday party, celebration, scout troop activity, fundraiser and more.&nbsp; Summer camps for children and tweens are available for half or full day in art or pottery.
