Silent art: Mummenschanz musicians perform ‘You and Me’ without a sound

The magic is back in “You and Me” at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College from July 4 through July 22.

The musicians of Mummenschanz present this new production for all ages that conjures a magical world without uttering a word.

This new show was created by Floriana Frassetto, co-founder of Mummenschanz, and features some of the most popular sketches created and performed by the troupe, as well as new creations.

The entire program of sculptural puppetry and visual antics is performed without music or sound.

“You and Me,” July 4 through July 22; performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8 pm with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm. The first preview performance on Wednesday July 4 is at 3 pm instead of 8 pm. Tickets range $29 from $85.

<div>Treehouse Shakers&rsquo; Branching OUT After-School program is for ages 12-14. This awarded program is for young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or are seeking to become better allies. Branching OUT centers on discovering and exploring one&rsquo;s story and identity through an intentionally artist-led format. During our community-based program, young people will explore and reflect on their own story to create a larger, more meaningful experience, while gaining self-empowerment and gathering with like-minded peers.
