Annual Thunderbird Mid-Summer Pow-Wow returns to Queens County Farm Museum

Come to a pow-wow at the Queens County Farm Museum as it hosts the fabulous Thunderbird American Indian Dancers on July 27, 28, and 29.

The dancers will perform as part of the 40th annual Thunderbird American Mid-Summer Pow-Wow, the longest running pow-wow, and features intertribal Native American dance competitions. Performances will be narrated for your appreciation of the rich tradition and culture that is being shared. More than 40 nations will be represented as they chant, drum, and dance in brilliantly colored, finely detailed regalia that provides a fun performance for people of all ages. There will also be American Indian art and craft vendors who offer a unique array of items for shoppers!

Annual Thunderbird Mid-Summer Pow-Wow, July 27, 28, and 29, Friday, 7 pm to 10 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 10 pm; and Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $10 ($5 children 12 and younger) or $16 all weekend pass, $7 all weekend pass for children. Reservations not required.
