Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Get ready for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, ushering in the holiday season on Nov. 22.

The giant event features balloons, floats, marching bands, performance groups, and loads of entertainers.

The 2.5-mile march kicks off at W. 77th Street and Central Park West, winding its way downtown to the viewing stands in front of the world-famous Macy’s of Herald Square.

Children of all ages will love watching the marchers and goggling at the giant balloons floating high above the avenue. Bringing up the rear as always is the ever-popular Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, with Rudolph at the head. Santa and sleigh heralds the end of the parade and the beginning of the holiday season.

Steps on Broadway Youth Programs
