Three Kings Day parade

Celebrate El Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos — Three Kings Day — at El Museo de Barrio’s 39th annual parade on Jan. 6.

Three Kings Day is one of the most important Latin American holidays for children, and families will delight in the cavalcade of live camels, colorful puppets, parrandas, music, and dancing on this magical day.

This year, the jaunt celebrates our youth, and advocates who devote their lives to their social and economic well-being. After the parade families will enjoy a musical performance, and free admission to Las Galerías at the museum.

The parade is free and begins at 11 am on Jan. 6, starting at 106th St. and Lexington Avenue, and ending at 115th Street and Park Avenue.

Treehouse Shakers

<div>Treehouse Shakers&rsquo; Branching OUT After-School program is for ages 12-14. This awarded program is for young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or are seeking to become better allies. Branching OUT centers on discovering and exploring one&rsquo;s story and identity through an intentionally artist-led format. During our community-based program, young people will explore and reflect on their own story to create a larger, more meaningful experience, while gaining self-empowerment and gathering with like-minded peers. Through the guidance of our awarded teaching artists, young people will create narratives that will be turned into podcasts, dances, songs or poetry.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Young people have the opportunity to learn new art forms, work with professional artists, while building a meaningful community.</div>
