‘Boogie Woogie’ returns to Children’s Museum

Boogie Woogie Wednesdays are back and better than ever.

Learn the art of the Chinese ribbon dance, the steps of Israeli dance, or the beat of Latin salsa, at the Staten Island Children’s Museum during its weekly kids dance party.

Every Wednesday night, you can boogie the night away with friends, neighbors, and family. Live performances will follow each night’s activities. On Aug. 7, the museum hosts the Pink Diamond Steppers; on Aug. 14, the New York Chinese Cultural Center presents the Chinese Ribbon Dance; on Aug. 21, join Mindy Feder and Jane Tardell and move to the rhythms of Israeli music; and the Lorenz Dance Studio presents Latin dance on Aug. 28.

Boogie Woogie Wednesdays, from 5 to 8 pm. Free admission (which includes the first floor exhibits and “Sea of Boats”) begins at 5 pm. Snacks are available at 6 pm, while supplies last.
