Haunted pumpkins, oh my!

Pumpkins, bats, and bugs are on hand at the Haunted Pumpkin Garden at the New York Botanical Garden now through Oct. 31, with special pumpkin carving on Oct. 19 and 20.

Don’t miss out when master pumpkin carver Ray Villafane and his troop visit on the weekend of Oct. 19 and 20 and transform ordinary pumpkins into extraordinary carnivorous plants and unearthly creatures.

The Haunted Gardens host more than 500 “gourd-geous” orange and multicolored pumpkin sculptures, including scarecrows, bugs, bats, spiders, and snakes. Oh my!

Haunted Garden, Tuesday through Saturday, now through Oct. 31, at 10 am to 5 pm. Pumpkin carving on Oct. 19 and 20, 11 am to 5 pm. Call for tickets.
