This “Nutcracker” is a sweet classic.
On Dec. 19, the Vicky Simegiatos Dance Company puts on a full-length production of the classical ballet, starring — as per usual — world-renowned ballet star Jenifer Ringer, principal of the New York City Ballet, as the Sugar Plum Fairy, as well as young members of the company performing the other roles.
Given the lush and familiar Tchaikovsky score, the magnificent and humorous classical choreography, the thrill of witnessing the wonderful talent of the community’s young dancers, and the intimacy of the neighborhood theatre, the production promises fabulous entertainment for children and theatre-goers of all ages.
