Budding Picassos and Rembrandts are treated to a gallery tour and art workshop during the “Little Artists Trek to the Met” on Nov. 2 and 16.
What better way for a child to learn about and appreciate art masterpieces than by seeing the great works? Children 5 to 12 view the galleries and then go to the workshop and create a work of art of their own. This month’s focus is Text and Tablets: Assyrian Art. Art Trek is a great way for families to take a voyage around the world and learn about famous works of art.
Trek to the Met on Nov. 2 and 16, from 1 to 4 pm. Gallery tours at 2 pm. The program is free with museum admission.
