Children beat the heat at Play Streets

Children have a safe place to play sidewalk games, make arts and crafts, and learn to jump Double Dutch rope this summer, thanks to the Police Athletic League.

The “play streets” are conducted in parks around the borough, and the program offers children workshop activities, including Nok Hockey, hopscotch, and cultural arts. Workshops are free and open now through Aug. 23, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
