Fore! Budding golfers get the chance to bone up their skills — compliments of the City Parks Foundation — now through Aug. 23, across the borough.
CityParks Golf, presented by Rene Lacoste Foundation affords boys and girls 6-16 an opportunity to learn all about eagles, boggies, and back spins as they tee off with professional instructors.
Children learn the sport, while developing self-esteem, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Classes are offered from 9:30 am to 10:30 am for children 6-8, and from 10:30 am to noon for children 9-16 at the following parks:
Mondays and Wednesdays at Mario Fajardo Park, Field 10 in Kissena Park.
Mondays and Wednesdays at Alley Pond Park, Field 1 in Douglaston.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Baisley Pond Park in Jamaica.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Field 11 in Flushing-Corona.
Mondays and Wednesdays at Flushing Memorial Field in Flushing.
Classes are free, and include equipment.
