All aboard!
The New York Botanical Garden presents its annual Holiday Train Show all month long.
The magic of New York City during the holidays is conveyed by G-scale model trains zooming by miniaturized New York City landmarks decked out in twinkling lights. Visitors will want to look for the original Yankee Stadium, The Statue of Liberty and the John F. Kennedy Airport along the half-a-mile of tracks.
Each ticket also includes admission to “Tootle” theatrical performances, based on the Little Golden Book story about the naughty steam engine who has trouble following directions; “The Little Engine That Could” puppet show; and “Gingerbread Adventures,” a display of gingerbread houses made by some of the city’s most talented pastry chefs that also includes interactive gingerbread activities for the kids. Check the Web site for show times.
